Famous Owners Of Rolls Royce

If you ask about a hundred people what they think is the most luxurious car brand in the world, most of them would tell you that there is no brand that is as luxurious as Rolls-Royce. The said brand, which has the full company name of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, has been around since 1904 and has continued to manufacture the best and most sophisticated cars within the automobile industry. Up to the present day, Rolls-Royce is still regarded as the brand specifically made for celebrities and the upper class, which is why people consider owning Rolls-Royce models as a symbol of being elite and luxurious.

Because Rolls-Royce is such a popular brand among the wealthy, there are many celebrities that own Rolls-Royce cars, and some of them have been using their Rolls-Royce for years since it is their favorite. Here are some famous owners of Rolls-Royce cars.

Kim Kardashian (Rolls-Royce Ghost)

Although Kim Kardashian is known for driving different kinds and models of luxury cars, one of her most popular vehicles is the Rolls-Royce Ghost that has a black exterior and a customized interior. The famous media personality and businesswoman have owned various luxury cars that have been seen through paparazzi photos and her posts on Instagram and her other social media accounts. However, her Rolls-Royce Ghost is the most recognizable because of its simple yet elegant design.

The Rolls-Royce Ghost is a full-size car that was introduced by the brand in 2009. The Ghost is supposed to be the successor of one of Rolls-Royce’s older models, the Silver Ghost, a car produced in 1906 that was particularly famous for having a shiny silver exterior. The Ghost is designed to be much smaller and more affordable than the Phantom.

Gwen Stefani (Rolls-Royce Wraith)

Gwen Stefani, who reached the peak of her stardom in the 2000s and is currently one of the most underrated musicians in the industry, also owns an underrated Rolls-Royce model called the Wraith. The Rolls-Royce Wraith is one of the recent models that the brand has released, as it was only introduced in 2013. Upon first glance, the Wraith has some similarities to the Phantom in terms of looks, but instead of being a 4-door saloon, the Wraith is a 2-door hardtop coupe. What’s unique about the Rolls-Royce Wraith is that it has suicide doors, which have hinges at the back rather than on the front.

Despite being a relatively new model, the Wraith name has actually been used by Rolls-Royce since the late 1930s. The 1930s Wraith was produced by the original Rolls-Royce Company in their Derby factory from 1938 to 1939. The original Wraith would be followed up with the Silver Wraith in 1948. The last model that would use the Wraith name before the 2010s is the Silver Wraith II that was manufactured from 1965 to 1980.

Simon Cowell (Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud III)

The famous X-Factor and American Idol judge, Simon Cowell, owns one of the best vintage Rolls-Royce models, the Silver Cloud III. This particular car was manufactured from 1963 to 1966, and it is reported that there were only 2,044 units of it made during the said production period.

The Silver Cloud III is the third iteration of the Silver Cloud line of luxury cars that was first revealed in 1955. The third Silver Cloud model can be purchased originally as a 4-door saloon, but coachbuilders can customize the car to be a 2-door convertible or a 2-door coupe. Besides the Silver Cloud III, Simon Cowell also owns a black Rolls-Royce Phantom that is said to be worth more than $500,000.

Shaquille O’Neal (Rolls-Royce Phantom)

A tall man should own a big car, and that is why Shaquille O’Neal and the Rolls-Royce Phantom are such a perfect fit. Shaquille O’Neal, also known by his nickname Shaq, has been in different teams throughout his illustrious career in the NBA, but he is more particularly famous for being the star player in the Los Angeles Lakers from 1996 to 2004, where he won three of his four NBA championships.

Because of the outrageous but justified salary of NBA superstars, Shaquille O’Neal has been able to own dozens of different luxury cars throughout the years. One of his favorites is the Rolls-Royce Phantom, which has been customized in 2020 to include an image of him and the late Lakers legend Kobe Bryant on the car’s hood.

These are just five of the most famous people that own Rolls-Royce cars. There are many celebrities and personalities that currently have a Rolls-Royce in their garage, but it would be difficult to spot some of them driving their luxurious cars since they consider it as a display piece rather than an everyday vehicle. The five mentioned above are just some of the few that have been seen in public driving their famous Rolls-Royce cars.
